65 Vines Winery is excited to support local charitable efforts and share in enhancing the lives of others in Western Wisconsin and the Eastern Twin Cities Metro Area. As part of our ongoing level of philanthropic efforts, we are pleased to support a variety of charitable organizations, with particular emphasis on charities in our local communities. Since we do receive a high volume of requests, we have the following guidelines we will utilize to receive and process the various requests for donations to our local community.
Location: We’ll support local charities in: Western Wisconsin (St. Croix & Pierce Counties) and the East Twin Cities Metro Area (Washington, Ramsey, & Dakota Counties).
Eligibility: Your organization must be registered as a Federal 501c3 charitable group. Some non-profit public and private charities may be federally tax-exempt (501c3), but not state tax exempt. If you do not have both permits, you will be required to pay state tax based on the retail value of the wine donation prior to or at the time of the donation pick-up.
Response Time: Requests must be received in writing on our donation form and at least 30 days prior to the event.
Frequency: To support many organization requests, we can only donate to a specific charity one time / calendar year.
Type of Donations: If your group is approved for support, we will provide one of the following types of items:
- Silent Auction: One bottle of wine, two etched wine glasses, and a gift bag (Suggested value $30). A wine tasting & tour certificate at the winery for two individuals (Suggested value $30).
- Live Auction: A private vineyard & winery tour for up to four individuals including appetizers and barrel tasting with the winemaker & vineyard manager (Minimum suggested value $200).
Process: If your organization meets the geographic and type of organization criteria listed above, please complete our “Donation Request Form” and email it to:
65 Vines Winery
1105 Coulee Trail
Roberts, WI. 54023
In addition to this form, please attach: 1.) A copy of your 501c3 document and 2.) Include a copy of your organization’s Certificate of Tax Exemption from the State of Wisconsin or Minnesota Department of Revenue. Within two weeks of receiving the above information, 65 Vines Winery will: review the application, determine if we will support the request, and email the contact person. Organizations are kindly asked to pick up their donations requested at the winery.
Thank you for striving to improve our local community and Cheers!
